Wendy Bell came to ABC Academy with thirteen years’ experience in Early Childhood Education and six years of management experience. Her desire to be closer to her family has brought her back to Michigan from North Carolina.

ABC Academy Director
Wendy began her experience in early childhood with an “in-home center” after school and during the summer. In her early college years she worked as a preschool teacher, then as a lead classroom teacher for two year olds. She quickly worked her way up into a management position as a director of a program for 200 children and families.

In 2006, she relocated to the research triangle of North Carolina. Her responsibilities as Regional Director included overseeing the opening of three, large, early childhood education centers. Becoming familiar with the licensing regulations and the quality rating system in North Carolina led Wendy to realize the overwhelming importance of high-quality early childhood education.

Wendy’s positions as classroom teacher, program director, and regional director have included staff recruitment and retention, office and classroom management, quality control, training, networking, and marketing.
