Great Start Readiness Program (GSRP) is a FREE preschool program for children who are 4 or will be eligible to attend Kindergarten the following school year and meet the eligibility requirements.
This program is offered at all three ABC Academy locations. Classes are held Monday through Thursday. Families have the option to register for either an 8:00 to 3:00 or 8:30 to 3:30 session.
The research based HighScope curriculum is used in this program to prepare children both academically and socially for success in school.
New ABC Academy Location in Concord Elementary School!
Children will experience American Sign Language, Children’s Yoga, Music and S.T.E.M. (Science, Technology, Engineering and Math) enrichment programs while enrolled in our program.
Each of our GSRP classrooms are equipped with state of the art multi-touch Smart Tables. These tables are designed to encourage collaboration between children and automatically target areas that are in need of focused developmental skills and to save the children’s conversations during play.
Teachers can listen to audio recordings to evaluate how children are developing with a set of assessment tools to aid them in making informed observations on social-emotional development. The activities on the Smart Tables also provide opportunities to develop math, literacy, social studies and science skills.
ABC Academy was selected as one of four Jackson County GSRP agencies to pilot the GrapeSEED English learning program.
Our teaching team has received tailored training to provide them with a specific set of strategies and practices to increase the effectiveness of language and literacy instruction for all of the children in their classroom.
Completing the online Family Interest form is the first step to apply for the Great Start Readiness Program. The Jackson County Quality Preschool Partnership Form can be completed online by following this link:
